We, of the Untouchables

Love;

Does that sound bassackwards? Just a lil fellow, an not so speedy upstairs. Did read a nice article by some one in the glitter an gold bracket tho’. About quartermasters and signalmen; he said that they were the nearest thing to an officer amongst the coolies. We, of the untouchables are by no means elated, but its fine to see that someone concedes a point now an then.--Did I ever tell you the story about the three officers in the barber shop talking

about making love to their wives? The first, a Captain said that it was 90 percent work and ten percent pleasure. The second, a lieutenant commander (a bit younger) said respectively that he thought it was about half of each. The third, a newly wedded and freshly commissioned ensign, said it was 90 percent pleasure and 10 percent work. Since they could come to no agreement, they turned to the coolie and said the senior, “Which is it son.” The coolie, lacking too much tact said, “Well Captain, it must be all pleasure, cuz iffen it weren’t you’d have one of us seamen do it.”

Hey, Hon, is it the Wylie girls that push their men to the pinnacle of success, or are they there when they get them. Seems like your professional brother-in-laws are a step (flight) or three ahead of us.

Brew time ended--had my daily quota. Only hit the dispensary general about three times a week--try to catch up. Met the person who is luckier than most over there--he was transferred off the Indy, two days before she sank. Hell I ain’t in so many chips.--Ya know

hon, when I smell that Seattle mapped handkerchief, make me want to be close to you. Check the picture, take a sniff, and I’m almost in your arms.

Love
