My Gal Was Still My Gal

Hello Sweetheart;

Always think your the best of all--really believe we should have been married months ago. Can’t help think about a wedding, it makes for nervous indigestion. Will go anywhere and do anything you say, love you more than anyone anytime.

The purple heart again, or shall we just put a gold leaf cluster in it. One of the two chiefs came back a little intoxicated this eve--he’s nasty minded. Always wanting to bruise somebody. First he put Lee on the deck, twisting arm. Well, Lee’s not small, so figure he

deserves it. A little later he twists Candy’s arm, it hurt the lil’ fellow. (This chief is a big skinny 6’3”r.) Since Candy an me are practically inseperable, felt that I must intercede. Can you imagine, this hulk accepted my small but pertinent challenged. He followed me between the buildings and immejutly flung me to the dirty earth. Being a coolie, this is practically regulation, we have the soil to grow you know.

At this point, I uttered the magic word “Shazam” and commenced bleeding from five of his port extremities. (Rocks to rub hand on are rather plentiful) We piddled for a while, then threw a nasty arm lock on him. My, my, the speed that uncle can be uttered and sobriety assumed. May have made a minor enemy, but he won’t get tarzan like wif my lil black headed friend an me agin. (My wound was a scrape of the wrist--minor damage.)

Did you see those pictures of my brother Robin--me thinks you are engrossed in altogether the wrong man. There is a good looking, big, upstanding young man. I like him, even tho we used to engage in fisticuffs rather frequently. Am taking a couple of shots of his snaps, may waste your an my film.

Hey Sweetie, sometimes I never say how much the love for you is, but I hope you always know--When you said my gal was still my gal, a big load lifted. It’s funny, but long ago I ceased thinking of just a girl--twas a wife I’d always imagined.

Love Always

Kenny Lee
